So, I got my package this week! Thank you Carpenter family! You definently did us good, and we ate those two bags of Goldfish in about a day. Exactly what the doctor ordered!
So this week was awesome! Offields was baptized! He was the one who when we first met him, he told us all about how he needed to stop drinking, because his little girl had begged him to. So we set off to work. And not he even is talking about how we need to baptize his girlfriend so that they can get married in the temple! He is amazing! When he came up out of the water he took a deep breath, with his eyes closed. Like he was soaking it all in.
So this past week we had INTERVIEWS! Which are always more anticipated than what actually happens. He basically just asked me when I needed to be home, I explained about me going home early to go to school, and he was fine about it.
So in this week, winter officially came! I sent a video of the rain, this was happening during our weekly training. Pretty great.
So, first off, as a zone we’re asking family to send in their testimonies about times you have been blessed for keeping a commandment. We always love using personal experiences to really help the people understand that THE GOSPEL WORKS!
–LOVE YOU ALL A TON!
So, we invented the coolest game this week. It was called “We left the keys in the house and there isn’t a spare, and Hna. Lord is paranoid so she locks all doors and windows always” yep. Pretty great. we ended up finding a wire, and fishing it through the crack in the window, so that we could pull down the lever to unlock it… we felt like we were playing a video game. It took us about an hour to figure it out, but we “leveled up!” just kidding. But it was actually pretty great.
Doing anything with Hermana Mendez is pretty great. She is very chill and loving and wonderful. We had tons of miracles this week. First off, Janeth and Jenifer were baptized! Hurray! Hazel couldn’t, so she`ll be getting baptized this week though! Pretty exciting. Another investigator Offields is progressing really well. He reads the Book of Mormon like crazy, and this last week he told us “Sisters, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I can`t go to church this Sunday. The good news is that I know that I`m going to get baptized.” basically blew us out of the water!
